I still kick myself for not buying a $130 pair of shoes 5 years ago.

i'd been kicking myself for not getting one of these pedals the first time they made 'em...when they were $600 or so and didn't have the improved lengthened delay-time...at the time i didn't comprehend the beauty of it's module features...now i do...now i have another chance...it's a TON of money, but it seems to be one of those things that transcends amount and i just want it...it sucks! (not the pedal, just wanting in spite of its price...) my current piece of gear that i paid the most for is my ARP Sequencer that was about how much this is costing...it's also a little more than my two most-paid-for guitars...and it's a PEDAL...but a TOTALLY SWEET pedal!!!

I think you should get it. That's why you work, right? To pay for stuff that you need and to buy things that you really really want. Getting another credit card just for that is somewhat questionable, but you'll pay it off.

Unless it will also have sex with you and make you breakfast in the morning, no way.

Is that $725 used? New? On eBay? Can you trade for it? I don't doubt that it would sound sweet, but...damn. Then again, I'm a cheapskate who plays a stock Mexi-Tele, so what do I know.

new...as i mentioned, it's a limited run...and it's a moogerfooger so it's modular...plus, as it's analog delay, that cool effect where you speed it up and slow it down that analog delay does, you can hook up extension pedals so you can do all that WHILE YOU'RE PLAYING...plus, you can output to another chain of effects in the feedback loop...and in collaboration with my other 4 moogerfoogers, i'd have an unstoppable modular system of death...yes, WAY too much money...but i think i want it so bad that don't matter...sure, i already have two delay pedals...though one's digital...and the analog delay i have, while cool, doesn't compare to this one, obviously...oh oh oh...

I voted no just because you said something about getting a credit card. I think it's okay if you save the money, but not if you do it with a new credit card. Save for it, you'll appreciate it more.

I've been similarly tempted with a Best Buy card. I have theis professional digital camera I want but I'm going to save for it. It's $1500. They tempt me with no interest for 18 months, etc. I could pay it off in 18 months or less, but I'd rather not take the risk.

Plus, credit card companies are EVIL and everyone should cut up every last one of their cards.

the problem with saving my money is that it'll be a limited run, they start shipping in september...it would be very impossible to save up before they're out of 'em...

I accidentally voted yes the first time when I meant to vote no. You worded the poll in a really dumbass way. I meant yes, you should totally get this pedal-thingy because I know it will make you happy.

Just remember that my birthday is in September, and ask yourself this question: "Would I rather buy myself some lame pedal that costs $725 or buy Amber an awesome $725 birthday present?"
