Tom and Jerry and Tod

Mary Beth and I did a walk around the neighborhood again in the evening after work. Not much else, but after a conversation that came up as the result of my jamming some Tod Dockstader, I stumbled upon the strange connection between Tod Dockstader and Tom and Jerry. So there was this strange one-off "season" of the show from 61 to 62 (thirteen episodes) where they brought the show back after a few years but outsourced it to this Czechoslovakian production team. And this is Iron Curtain times. And this team had a significantly smaller budget than the show usually would have. So the animation style ends up being somewhat surreal for several reasons. And for this run they had Tod Dockstader making the sound effects. But then it turns out he ALSO wrote two of the episodes, as in screenwriter. So he wrote the one where they go into space and another one. So my is kinda blown by this weird trivia. Now I'm half-heartedly obsessed with this little slice of the Tom and Jerry show!
