Someone made a fun little 2025 Wrapped page for godsjukebox with all the dorky stats for my jams for the year. (I see they'd also done one for 2024 that I'm not sure I ever saw before, so here's that too.) Let's see, what else? Oh, well we got a fun thing in the mail from mlgw first letting us know how much they deeply care about us and our safety and oh, hey we've determined you've got lead pipes somewhere, go get a filter and maybe we'll do something who knows, have fun! So that's uh, well yeah, fuck. I guess that's all about I've fucking got right now.

it didn't come as a huge surprise given the last 10 years or so, all the bernie/bnc etc. etc. meetings, over and over local community organizers, particularly people of color, brought it up and were trying to get the issue addressed. i can still picture those moments and faces. it makes me hope they're the ones who have benefited most/soonest from any actions mlgw's finally taking, because they were the ones making noise about it and doing work on it, but who knows. i hope so though.

and in the other direction (and possibly a cynical answer to that hope but i hope not), also not a surprise given the mysterious mlgw "environmental hazard work" they were clearly doing all over midtown for weller-to-do homeowners. all you could tell was it was pipes/water stuff, and yeah, right along that demarcation of public and property responsibility, with them doing both sometimes and us wondering why and what was going on. including all those mlgw door flyers but not for the rentals. sigh.
