So worked another weekend day yesterday. I got a cd in the mail: Slow Blink: Trace. What else? Snow still covers everything outside. I'm not working today! Got to a pretty good spot. Now I'm actually taking my first day off in two weeks.

The cd I'm currently listening to (the first of this two-disc set) was pretty scuffed and had issues when I tried to rip it. So I probably won't be able to make it all the way through (this disc). It was the only issue out of that whole Cecil Taylor treasure trove, so still worth it. I may have to replace this one at some point, but there's still so much goodness to be listened to.

Nerdy cd update! While listening to the aforementioned scuffed disc on my stereo, it played through completely without a skip! I figured there's hope so I tried ripping it again but encountered the same issues. So I tried again with another cd drive (I probably didn't try multiple drives the first time I ripped it because the physical marks on the disc looked pretty hard to argue with), and this time it worked! Woohoo!
