Well, so that production issue I spent all day on two days ago came back yesterday. Or I should say it ended up introducing another production issue. There was one piece that had previously been done just before but hadn't been tested yet and we included it as it could also help the current problem. We tested it, but probably in a rush under duress. It worked in the case it intended to but then it also "worked" in a case where it should not have worked (so we were completely ignoring all newly created objects). Anyway, so it was another busy day (though not QUITE as busy as the day before) as Jim who had worked on it before immediately knew the solution. In the process, we also found the root cause of the issue we were having with the one object that I'd spent all damn afternoon trying to figure out and didn't so that at least took a load off my mind. I got a couple packages in the mail. One from the Barnes & Nobel Criterion sale with some blu-rays: Crash and Uncut Gems. And one with a few cds: Tensions at the Vanguard: New Music from Peru (1948-1979) and Jorge Atunes: In Defense of the Machine. After work Mary Beth and I went on a walk. I worked on music after that. I did record the last part for the fourth track of that album. It's very sparse. I also got started on mixing. I still have a bit more fine tuning of the mixing and automations, but at least the recorded parts are done. If I can wrap that up then just one more left.
