Tornado Warning

Yesterday was finally a calmer day at work. After work Mary Beth and I took a walk around the neighborhood. It was weirdly warm and almost hot, then found out it shattered the previous high temperature record for the day. Also windy and ominous. And then we hurried back after a bit as we started getting some droplets coming down (though they didn't keep up). But later we found out there'd been a tornado watch in effect. Later at night I went and met up with my dad for a little bit. Then back home at night Mary Beth and I watched a bunch of Seinfeld. Then as we're about to go to bed a full on tornado warning comes in effect and there was some serious stuff blowing through town. Power flit off and on a few times (once or twice for a substantial few minutes) but mostly stayed on. We huddled up away from the windows and waited it out. We grabbed Trudy and put her in her cage to keep her safe and away from windows, but it was probably right before she had to go to the bathroom 'cuz she was unusually antsy and went to her box right after we let her out! Well, then so finally bed and I woke up to the power being out. I slept through some noise when the transformer or whatever blew during the night (Mary Beth didn't). It came back on after being awake for an hour or so so it wasn't too bad. Now back to doing the day!
