Contained

So there was the work yesterday. I was excited because at the end of the day, I went back to working on my own dashboard project and I "finished" it up with the last thing needed to make it deployable in that I got it dockerized! Anyway, hadn't done that all myself before so I got excited when I got the container up and running locally. Will need adjustment when I work with infra to set up a pipeline for it, but at least it's now ready to start that. (Of course, that doesn't mean it's finished-finished. It still needs a good bit of work and there's tons of room for improvements, but it's across the threshold of functional and useful and good-enough to go so that makes me pretty happy.) I got asked again to do the test migration in the evening so I was waiting around for that. Pretty quickly came to know it'd be pretty late so hung out with Mary Beth in the interim. We played some Dominion. Then we watched Passing Strangers. I got a package with these pants-waist extenders. We have a wedding coming up and my suit's pants don't fit my belly anymore (I mean, I can squeeze them shut but not without the assurance a button isn't going to snap or pop off by the end of a night) so I got these little things to give like another inch or so I can actually wear my suit to the wedding (ah, the ravages of time!). I also got with it this cd: Matana Roberts: Coin Coin Chapter Two: Mississippi Moonchile. After getting it, I discovered that the picture on the cover is of the Melrose High School band (back in 1939) so that's pretty cool! Ended up doing my work thing at about midnight. I was able to use and show off my dashboard (even running in its container locally) so that was "fun." Then the process that comes after our (first) process from another team kicked off and that was going to take hours so I went to sleep with alarms periodically set to check in in case there were issues and I was needed, but there hadn't been anything. Okay, now I'm up and it's a day off. Woo.
