ateolf: (i ♥ George)
So I fell in the fucking shower yesterday morning like a goddamn old man. I had raised my arm to wash my armpit in a way that got me slightly off-balance while at the same moment I lost all traction under my foot and I just went down. The side of my face hit against a porcelain fixture where a towel rack used to be that's attached to the wall right next to the shower. That's still a little dully sore. I was sure that was going to have bruised worse but so far it doesn't seem too bad. There's a slight shadow of a bruise but almost not noticeable, especially if you're not looking for it. Anyway, it sucked but it could have been much worse. Much of the rest of the day I was working on trying to get the database side of the site hooked up and working. You can't remotely access the database on my shared hosting so I was following the instructions to set up an ssh tunnel but it's not working. Also, started work on the node.js backend to connect to the db. Trying to get these queries working as they're supposed to. There's one and I'm trying to use JSON_ARRAYAGG() and I'm getting this from the damned mysql documentation but it's saying that function doesn't exist. Annoying, but I guess I can find another way to do what I'm trying to do or do something else that will accomplish the same purpose. This would all be so much easier if sql wasn't so annoying! Just now Mary Beth and I were outside in the front enjoying the weather and just before we went in two little birds (finches?, or were the finches a different bird?) flew up to the top of the two buildings and were singing back and forth. So I stood there right in between them getting a real nice concert in stereo (kinda surround as there was a third of the same kind of bird somewhere behind and to the side giving a bit of an echo to their sound).
