Yesterday was a bit hectic at work as there was a big production issue and it was all hands on deck and this happened like right into my lunch break. After work I did get to have fun adventures. I did a few errands, one of which was picking up those used books I'd ordered from Burke's. Kole was working so I talked to them for a little while, all wearings masks and not close together of course. It's so rare I actually have something of contact with other people/friends at all so it was nice to chat a bit about books and stuff. Anyway, the books I got: The Possession by Annie Ernaux, Anecdotes of Destiny and Ehrengard by Isak Dinesen, The Female Quixote by Charlotte Lennox, Almost No Memory by Lydia Davis, Special Topics in Calamity Physics by Marisha Pessl, Prisoner's Dilemma by Richard Powers, The Dying Animal by Philip Roth, and East, West by Salman Rushdie. Then later Mary Beth and I played a game of Lost Cities and I probably did the worst I've ever done! Then some Sailor Moon and Jeni's ice cream. And then going to bed by Mary Beth reading a Virginia Woolf essay to me.
