I worked on music some more yesterday. I did drums! Practiced and recorded and everything. I got a really nice sound on the drums. My playing is whatever, not quite as bad as the last couple times but I'm probably playing something a little easier. Anyway, overall hopefully pretty decent. Later in the evening I went to see a show. Luís playing with OCB (the blues with electronics thing, standing for either "Old Country Boys" (playing on the phrase "old country" since they're both European) or "Obsessive Compulsive Beats"). It was up at B-Side (a new venue in the same building as Minglewood, but a separate thing, it's a little bar). I'd never been so I was curious. Seemed alright I guess, attracts a more middle-aged business casual crowd. Probably won't be where I see a majority of shows or anything. The next act was a bit of a surprise as it was called "Bunk" but it was the two guys from Fuck playing Fuck songs. So that was nice, they played some familiar ones. I mean, as with Fuck some of the stuff is just kinda dumb but I like a lot of their stuff. Alex was also there and I talked to him. He kinda introduced me to Robert Gordon so I coulda said something dumb about his movies or whatever but I didn't. The last band was called T-Rextasy. They were a T-Rex cover band. They sounded like what would be good if you like T-Rex. I don't care for T-Rex so I left, but they seemed fine for what they are. Getting ready for work this morning, my wedding ring immediately got stuck on my finger and it turned purple and was a motherfucker to get back off. Yikes! Hopefully that was a fluke thing, rarely have problems with it. Anyway, while I was at work today our other piece of Ikea furniture was delivered. Now it all just needs to be assembled. And uh that's about it for now.
