Patchwork

Mary Beth and I went to a trans support rally at Out Memphis yesterday. It was a nice day too, weirdly warm actually. Otherwise, I spent most of the day getting a patch ready for tonight's Nonconnah show. It's one of my most involved patches yet. I hear there will be dancers at the show so I made something with that kinda in mind. I'm pretty proud of it. It's kind of a pseudo-generative patch. I mean, it's not generative and there's no randomness but it's different patterns imposed on differing systems and so it sounds like it's constantly evolving or changing. For the first time in a while I found myself wishing I had more mults and more patch cables. Spent some hours on that so when I got something going it was pretty nice. Later at night Mary Beth and I caught up on the recent episode of The Good Place. This morning was mildly crazy in that the shower head broke off shortly after I'd gotten in the shower. Haven't had to shower in the small bathroom in a while. I used to shower in that thing all the time, you know, over a decade ago. I'm not used to showering in such a small space anymore! Aravind isn't at work now. His visa was denied. He's appealing but that will take over a month if he ends up getting approved. So that's pretty lame as hell. I like Aravind and he's a good developer. This country is such shit.
