Short

Last night Mary Beth and I went to the Sundance shorts thingie at Crosstown Arts. It was really good. Nothing was bad. A bunch I loved. Though there was this one Polish short about an ice diving rescue that had no talking (though it did have a narrative) that the audience seemed confused by (though not as downright rude as with the one at the rural shorts festival, though that did NOT have a narrative and was probably longer). But I really loved that ice one, and the animated French one with the butt squeezing and weird inventions and the storm, and the Japanese one about the aunt's fake English lessons, and the animated one about time travel and clones and existentialism and a toddler. Big deployment last night and then my stuff didn't work at all and they had to pull it back! So I was scrambling to see what was wrong this morning and it turns out the new database function isn't on production yet. So our stuff was moved but it's not getting moved til next week so it was just a clash of miscommunication. Okay. After work today Mary Beth and I went to see the Bernie Sanders speech with a bunch of other Memphians in someone's house. It was pretty good but a bunch of people were talking and being loud afterwards and it was hard to hear people talking about plans and where to go. And right next to me there were these older ladies who talked and talked and then complained about not being able to hear anyone else and then talked some more and talked about not hearing and talked and talked. Anyway, yeah, they annoyed me. Okay, doing some planning...
