sat around on sunday pretty much just playing Paper Mario...i've got all these new wii games i haven't even played yet but the one i don't stop playing is the downloaded n64 game...later in the evening i went to Ernestine & Hazel's with Mary Beth, we met Ryan up there...he'd informed us about a "free jazz night" which of course i automatically interpreted as "free-jazz night" while in fact it was a "free jazz-night"...which i should have expected, even the idea of a free-jazz night here in memphis seemed kinda out of place...but the ad said something about being an open jam session where i guess anyone could come and play or whatever...which would lend itself to free jazz...but by anyone they meant any jazz musician that you know can read the music of these jazz standards etc...anyway, a few things i forgot to mention before...like, uh, friday or earlier last week Mary Beth randomly gave me the newer criterion version of M (which we watched last night) um...and i forgot to mention some awesome pins that Jacques and Amber gave me...there's a whole bunch of synthesizer ones with, you know, pictures of synths, and then all of the Tetris blocks! pretty sweet...last night i went over to Dustin's...he had a gift for me: something called a Yada Yada Yada...it's a cheap toy thingie where you record a sample up to a few seconds in length on its tiny, cheap, built-in microphone and then play it back on its small, cheap, built-in speaker and it has a "warp" wheel which bends the pitch...and it's fun to play around with! i ran the batter down last night...well i guess that's about it for now...
