talked to Camy today and i guess i'm now a pizza delivery boy...rökken, or sumthin...i think Paul, Chris, and i are a posse now, or sumthin...

i left the random Tom Waits goin' last night when i went to sleep, in hopes that it would subliminally make me cool...like i'd wake up w/ that goateeish thingie, and a cool voice, and i'd run out and buy a banjo and a pump organ...but no such luck...i think i had the volume too low...though i was pretty sure if i had it any louder, certain songs would definately awaken me...

this evening i have progressed to random sp00kiness...i have put in the changer what i decided w/in the course of 10 - 20 seconds were my sp00kiest cds...currently rockin' me are:
Christian Death: Only Theatre of Pain
The Sisters of Mercy: Some Girls Wander by Mistake
Bauhaus: In the Flat Field
Joy Division: Closer
The Cure: Faith (yes, Pornography's far sp00kier, but my copy's all fucked and only half of it plays...damnit...i wish i could find it used again...)

and i discovered that there is a difference between "random" and "shuffle"...shuffle is actually cooler 'cuz it goes through and doesn't repeat songs, which random will do...it randomly picks songs and then i guess does some pointer magic and won't play what songs it's already played...unless you have it on repeat and then it'll start over...rad...though i'm not sure if this cd player'll recognize the songs past track 20...but this is just speculation, i haven't actually tried it yet...that's all...

caffeine youth

just went to Sessil's to get many-a can of caffeine...purchasing the 2 12 packs of coke, the register guy asked me if i was going to the music fest (in reference to my SY shirt...) i was like yea...he said he wasn't going...and then that he wasn't really a fan of SY...that he hadn't heard 'em much...as they had two songs on the radio in his lifetime..."Bull in the Heather" and that other one...(this is all paraphrase, of course...) i told him that they're my favorite band...and he asked me what album he should rush out and get...i told him Daydream Nation is my favorite...and he said he'd go rush out and get it...i told him i didn't gurantee he'd like it, but it's not their least accessible...so i might've opened the doors for one dude into the realms of SY-liking/indie rock (SY were (mostly) my "gateway" band...there were a few others too...) either that, or provided another copy of Daydream Nation to the used bins of our fine city...

also driving back, i realized for the first time just how great the "solo" on "M" (The Cure song) is...that's all...

now, to programming!!! (finally...i hope...yea, i suck...)
