Today's been my first fully free day. The first exciting thing was going to the hardware store to get a replacement faucet knob for the bathroom because one shattered in my hand a few days ago. Replaced it and that's exciting stuff. The second exciting thing was going to the botanic gardens for this year's teacher shindig thingie. I'd say it was as nice as last year's at the zoo. The weather was absolutely gorgeous and perfect, especially in the shade (which there was a lot of). Mary Beth and I wandered around there a couple hours. Just enjoying the day. The fish frenzy and the turtles in the pond. I noticed a plaque on a bench dedicated to my elementary school best friend's dad (who was the director there or something). And this is it. I got a phone call from a coworker while there saying the EOC scores came back and they apparently weren't good. But I don't really know anything about that and I won't worry about any of that shit NOW.
