Weekend

Yesterday afternoon the band came over and we practiced. We worked on two song and we're nailin' the goddamn things so we're gonna move on to a couple more next week. Mary Beth had made muffins for everyone that were awesome and she suggested I take 'em in the practice room. I did and then was rocking so hard while we were playing our intro thingie that I knocked 'em over on the floor. It had just been cleaned so I didn't mind eating anymore (though she did mind 'cuz she ate some later and didn't know they were floor muffins, I just say they were rock muffins!). In the mail yesterday: Pioneers of Electronic Music cd (put out by the same label that put out that excellent Columbia-Princeton compilation; it's got a lot of the same people but with different pieces so it should also be pretty goddamn excellent). In the evening Mary Beth and I went to meet my parents at Macaroni Grill. It was my mom's birthday last week, but they had something else going on that day so our meeting was postponed a week. Afterwards we (Mary Beth and I) went over to Paul and Shawna's to be late arrivals in a game of Loaded Questions. That was fun, some people went home, I passed out on the couch for like an hour or two or something while everyone else had moved to the other room, then I woke up and we went home. Today was our new gym day. I'm liking our new schedule much better than our old one. Anyway.
