ended up going to the zombie prom at Nocturnal last night...wasn't expecting it to not be lame and my expectations were met...i'd just wanted a chance to hang out and talk with some friends who were going...unfortunately, it was exceedingly loud...it'd been forever since i've been in a smoke-filled room and it didn't take long for my voice to go out from the attempts at conversational yelling...and the music was of course standard fare bad semi-industriah-goth junk (with the bizarre exception now again, i mean, i had forgotten that "Mortal Kombat" song existed...there's a reason i'd forgotten it existed...the world should have collectively forgotten it existed...apparently not...) anyway, today at work i finished reading Panther in the Basement by Amos Oz and it was good...now it's my weekend of sorts...
