last night Mary Beth and i went over to Jacques and Amber's...hung out, ate, watched a terrible movie with acting by a dude from a band with poor spelling...today at work i finished reading Nine Stories by J. D. Salinger and it was good...uh, the end...

Which story was your favorite? Initially IIRC mine was "Teddy" or whatever, towards the end (maybe the very last one?) and then for a while it was that PJ Harvey-shout-out one ("Pretty Mouth, Green My Eyes" or whatever it's called), and thennn for a brief flash I believed the hype about "A Perfect Day for Bananafish." Sometimes I think I ought to go back and reread it to see what I think now, but you know how revisits make me nervous!

my two favorites were the last two: "De Daumier-Smith's Blue Period" and "Teddy"...and while i didn't think "A Perfect Day for Bananafish" was bad, i didn't think the ending was very good...which was reinforced by reading the ending of "Teddy" which is very similar on the surface, but it's handled so much better and less obviously in the latter story...
