spent the last four nights helping Jacques and Amber paint their new house with Mary Beth...it looks pretty sweet...the colors are awesome and now everytime i go over there i can be like "yep...that spot up near the ceiling...that was me!" pride...yes...in the mail on wednesday: Nazi Literature in the Americas by Roberto Bolaño and Futurama: Into the Wild Green Yonder...i also got a package i had to pick up from the post office on the way to work thursday: The Book of the Thousand Nights and a Night (the full Richard Burton translation in three big volumes...i'd kinda wanted the new translation that came out late last year which is the only other full translation, but it also had all the fake stories too...also in three big volumes, but expensive as FUCK...well, this version, while somewhat expensive, is not nearly so costly especially seeing as it's long out of print...why is it so hard to get a full translation of the damn book? and, i'm sure i can get the fake stories elsewhere if i really so want...) what else? friday at work i finished reading Dog Years by Günter Grass...today at work i finished reading Empire of the Sun by J.G. Ballard...i think that brings me about up to date...
