the cold's gotten better...the worst maybe was not so much the cold itself but the effects it had on my skin: the rings around my nostrils were pretty much one solid scab...that's healing, still cracked and all but i've been applying aloe...yesterday Mary Beth and i had dinner with Jacques and Amber and Brad and Sherri at a non-midtown Petra and then spent new year's eve hanging out at Brad and Sherri's...they live nearby so we decided why not watch the fireworks off the top of the clark tower...well, they didn't go THAT high up and to see 'em at all you had to walk halfway across their backyard past the neighbors' houses and through cracks in trees and such and kind of see it really small and framed in limbs and such...that was our new year's bang or something...so i worked today...holiday pay is good...i finished reading The Zero Train by Yuri Buida...that's about it for now...
