got a call from Shawna last night that she and Paul were doing karaoke up at yosemite sam's so Mary Beth and i went up there...i sang "Butterfly Kisses" and "Impossible Dreams"(?) the first of which i've heard years and years ago and don't remember how it goes the latter i'd never heard...surprisingly i received much applause (i'm aiming for derision, ah well...) and one dude gave me a dollar both times i sang! (which, of course, i'm pretty sure is meant insultingly, but what a sweet way to be insulted!) i also sang a duet with Paul for "Don't You Want Me"...when we arrived there were a bunch of sororwhores sitting at the table with them and it was weird and wacky and all the frat dudes coming over and hitting on 'em...everyone was really drunk in that simultaneous sociologically amusing and painfully obnoxious way...afterwards we ate at ck's (i don't think i've been to one in literally like 10 years...) anyway...
