our show saturday night, our triumphant return to the Buccaneer, was pretty good...we played first and our set was:

we aimed for like a 30 minute set but it was like 45 minutes...3 songs...woo...an overheard conversation between the drummer of the band that played after us and this hippie that was recording the show revealed that we are in fact the worst band ever...awesome! this became a running joke throughout the night as another band (of whose member overheard the conversation) made reference to it on stage...that was pretty sweet...i didn't do much yesterday...uh...did get a lot of sleep last night...got an email this morning revealing a post by aforementioned hippie elaborating on our performance further:

I'll put some tracks up, but, the family ghost is the worst crap I've heard
in a while. They shot their wad in 12 minutes, and played horribly for 38
minutes more. I've never before had an urge to hurl something, anything at a
band more than them. I wanted to hurt them. A lot.

best show review EVER! i'm pretty happy about that...then to make matters better, they offered overtime at work tonight and i got an extra 4 hours in...that was sweet...and then i got some mail containing:

pretty sweet...oh yeah, and another odd thing...that 1/10 vote on my story had been retracted and a few days later there was a 4/10 vote...i kind of liked the 1/10 better, in theory, of course the higher score is better for winning this contest that i have no chance of winning anyway...i think that's all...
