the iggy song reminds me of recently hearing tina turner's version of 'tonight'- holy smokes.

(tonight, while i know it from lust for life, is apparently also on some bowie album? but either way.... holy shit).

Bowie recycled a bunch of that stuff...i just looked it up and yeah, the ALBUM Tonight (the followup to Let's Dance) not only has "Tonight" but "Neighborhood Threat" as well...also 2 more songs cowritten by Iggy that i haven't heard of and a "Pop/Williamson" song (i imagine off that record they did together that i never listened to 'cuz i assumed it was bad...) anyway, i hopefully i won't have to hear Bowie's "updating" the songs for 1984...even amg says "Nevertheless, the record stands as one of the weakest albums Bowie ever recorded." saying how it doesn't match Let's Dance...i couldn't think of a worse thing to say about a record than that...
