thursday night(/friday morning) i stayed up late playing We ♥ Katamari and i beat it...of course i mostly just barely got by the levels so there's plenty of room for going back and doing better...but it's fun beating a game...even a short one...then friday Justin and Mary Beth accompanied me to some thrift stores...at Thrift Citi (which i'd never been to, i think it's somewhat new) i got a few books: The Rock Report by Fletcher A. Brothers, The God of Rock: a Christian Perspective of Rock Music, and None Dare Call It Treason by John A. Stormer...the former 2 are, as the tittles may suggest, those christian fundamentalist band-by-band reasons why all rock music is of the devil type books that we ♥ so much...and the latter is a classic bit of red scare propaganda from 1964..."1964 is a year of crisis and decision. Will America continue to aid the communist enemy, to disarm in the face of danger, to bow before communist dictators in every corner of the earth? The decision is yours!" thus spake the cover...then we hopped a block over to the DAV and i found what i was looking for! a table! we finally have an eatin' table! for the breakfast nook area...it's the perfect size...it also came with leaves so it can be expanded should the need for a dinner party arrive...sweet! best of all? it was $20!!! like the desk i got at the same thrift store months ago for dirt cheap, it was buried under some other furniture...i totally scored or something...a little later in the day Mary Beth accompanied me out to barnes and noble and i got a couple books: The Stories of Vladimir Nabokov and Wise Blood by Flannery O'Connor...then a little later we went over to Jacques and Amber's...David and Monika came over too and we hung out and stuff...mostly watching Jacques play his own copy of We ♥ Katamari...almost as fun to watch as it is to play...oh and even later Paul and Katie came over too...more game watching commenced...so now once again the thought of everything i see being rolled up into a ball in various ways floods my thoughts and dreams...life is beautiful again...
