tonight was a pseudo-practice/recording session...Brad wasn't able to make it and as we're wanting to do a recording much akin to what we did last year i thought it'd be a good idea to at last start setting everything up and getting ready for when we all can make it...thought our best bet would be "Like Clockwork" i played Brad's bassline (well, the main part that happens most of the song without the changes that occur here and there) into my loop pedal so we had that looping to simulate the whole band being there...of course it's difficult playing along with a static loop (especially considering i messed, but since it was just a test we didn't really care...) so after setting mics about the room we went to the task of rocking and it's pretty alright...i should get this snake cable in the mail before we practice next so we can put the mixer back in the other room and not just have it in the same room we're recording in...so we'll have a smaller grasp as to what we're mixing before we play back the finished product...it needs a little work but we barely even had one run-through tonight and got it almost there...so it should be pretty awesome and stuff when we start with the "real-deal"...i guess that's all i have to say...
