ateolfthursday night the band did in fact practice...the whole practice was devoted to that new song ("Phantom Limb" as i believe it's now called)...as i said a week or two ago, i had worked out a transition to go between the two sections of the song so this practice was almost entirely devoted to devloping it with the band as a whole...it took a while (though it took a while for me to write my part on my own too) and everyone else was getting frustrated 'cuz they couldn't see how it fit in...but after a while, when it all started coming together, it made sense and worked out quite lovely...a lot of work for like 10 to 15 seconds of song, but i think it's always worth it...i guess as ironic as it might seem, the short parts would take the longest to write...but it makes sense, you don't get a bunch of repetitions to spread across any idea or anything...that one tiny bit perfect, or whatever...it's kinda neat having it, gives at least a slight contrast to our other songs, structurally speaking...
after work on friday i went by Jason's work and got:

Trans Am: Liberation
and when i got home, i had waiting for me in the mailbox:
Tuxedomoon: Half-Mute/Scream with a View
as well as the most awesomest shirt ever: a Wyckyd Sceptre shirt...but then it becomes immediately clear that it's not the XL i was expecting but a youth large!!! AAARGH!!! i emailed the company i bought it from about exchanging it or something...hopefully i can, that really pissed me off...
yesterday i picked up the doggies from my parents' house and brought 'em over here for the duration of the weekend! then they had a party! Justin, Amanda, and Jason came over...Justin brought his camera and i pissed everyone off by going crazy and taking tons of pictures...but it couldn't be helped, my doggies are so damned cute!!! and it wasn't JUST my doggies anyways...Brad bared his ass for the camera twice...hijinks, hijinks, hijinks...a little after i first brought 'em over when they were calming down, i tried to introduct them to Bill...it failed miserably...i expected my dogs to barking and all, but Bill's usually pretty friendly...i guess there were too many and they were too loud 'cuz he immediately flipped out...he was hissing and arching his back and all that...ran into the bathroom and jumped on the counter...took a swipe at Leala when she half-jumped up...oh well, he's been back in Tim's room since...i might try again some other time, one dog at a time...we'll see if that gets anyway...but that's for another time...then later that evening we went to Taco Bell and had THE rudest workers...it was great...i didn't see it, but apparently the guy started punching on the inside of the take-out window when i was looking in the bag to make sure they got everything...i guess he thought he was intimidating us, i just think it's funny...maybe they even spermed in our food, that'd be fun too!
The Family Ghost practiced today...we went through the new song and then started back working on our (currently imaginary) setlist...i hope we play a show soon...my internet was "down" for the last couple days until last night i realized i had merely plugged the cord into the wrong hole...hoo-ah! anyway, i'm just chillin' out with the doggies for the next few hours 'til i've gotta take 'em back to my parents'...uh, rock on...
