last night i joined Jamie, Lara, Jason, and Amanda to see The Butterfly Effect...i mean, we knew it was going to be bad, and it did well in meeting my expectations...it did actually have a few things about it that could have been smelted down into some other good movie, that is the gaps between them weren't too large (which, they were...) i mean, what they SHOULD have done was not even TRY to sprinkle it with any sort of pseudo-psychological/scientific explanation that's stretched so thin and barely even touched upon anyway...they should have just run with the complete riduculousness and absurdity of the whole thing...maybe taken a sort of Burroughsian approach (which would have been more than apt for this film...) but, of course, the public doesn't like to admit its love for the absurd and likes to force exaggerated approximation of science or reason or logic onto it...(of course, i have don't have a problem either with absurdity or science...it's just when you try to disguise one as the other...) well, i sincerely apologize...i did not actually intend to ANALYZE The Butterfly Effect on any level...oh well...my other comment on the movie is that in one scene our hot, young star walks into his dorm room where his goth friend/roommate is having sex (as the character tends to do throughout the movie) and fucking "Dark Entries" is playing on this character's stereo...please, hollywood, leave my good music out of your bad stereotypes...i will say that the movie was better than Radio (which i only kept wishing would hurry up and END...) i was entertained on some level and did find myself actually curious as to how the plot was going to turn out (whether that was morbid curiosity or not, i can't say...)

anyway...i had trouble getting to sleep last night due to my back hurting...so i finally got up and found some Icy Hot in the bathroom and rubbed it on my sore area...so it starts off icy...the nice smell of wintergreen lifesavers...then it starts getting a little tingly, a little hot...then it starts getting REALLY hot...then it starts feeling like a chemical burn...at first i'm trying to bear it, you know, thinking that's how it's suppsoed to be...then it got to the point where i knew it was WAY beyond helpful...and i noticed my skin was turning red...so i jumped in the shower really quick and rinsed it all off (of course, with a little bit of screaming involved...) i had to sleep without a shirt/covers because it hurt when touched...though the initial back pain subsided and my muscles felt relaxed...bah...i'm just happy i didn't wake up with any burns or anything...

i don't guess there's too much to post about my work day...i did have a new training class that took out an hour and a half...for some new customer relations type stuff they're trying to incpororate into the job...i dunno...it was an hour and a half off the phones...uh, i belive The Family Ghost is going to practice within an hour or so...that should rule...over and out, or something...

Remember that part when Ashton Kuntcher didn't have arms and that other part where he was running down the hall looking all stupid.

I do.
