not a whole lot to say about today...i'll just talk about some inane stuff from the past...last night my mom was saying she had looked at some of the other books on my list and she read an excerpt of one and said it was filthy or something so she didn't get me that (i guess that was Lolita) and the same for some of the movies...she said one was really awful and she read a review that mentioned a rape scene so she didn't get that...(Man Bites Dog, i gues...though i don't remember a rape scene in it...maybe that's one of the deleted scenes...) whatever...i'm only mentioning that out of amusement...the stuff she did get me was good so it's allgood...uh, a few days ago i made a comic strip (p.s. i just made *3* more!!! woo...) uh...at work today this one guy got all mad at me because he said i didn't type something the voice user said (that she didn't say)...but it didn't bother me...the whole nature of his call in the first place was due to unnecessary beligerance...(demanding his money back for next-day shipping for a computer he bought expecting it the next day...and not accounting for the 3 to 5 days it takes the company to build the computer...my point, one of THOSE people...) and i only mention that because i have absolutely nothing else to mention that happened today...

TCH .. lolita's one of the most beautiful books i've ever read. so is 'Laughter in the dark' also by nabakov.

yeah...it's pretty high up on my "to-read" list...i still haven't read any Nabokov...i'll probably end up getting the annotated edition sometime in the near future...though i've gotten so many books lately that i literally have a "to-read" pile in the other room...(the pile and list being two separate "to-read" entities...)
