tonight was the Mike Watt & the Secondmen show...a heavy blow to my ballz, it was...when i saw 'em in LA last year there was a guitarist, but this the guitar was replaced with an organ...the set completely rocked my anus off, however...at one point they did TWO Pop Group songs in a row: "Genius or Lunatic" and "Amnesty Report II"...the latter number got me jumpin' like a motherfucker...(people looked at me funny when i shouted for "We Are All Prostitutes" afterwards) when the set was over we applauded 'til we were sore and they came back and did an encore...it was kicked off with "SISITER RAY"!!! AHHH!!! that's the first time i've ever seen that song done live...i don't know why...it should be a requirement for every band to cover it at some point...when it was over i bought a poster, shirt, 7", and 2 stickers...the one with the Minutemen anchor is going on my car...then i got him to autograph the poster and i told him it was the first time i'd heard The Pop Group in public and it made me happy...now i'll backtrack...i picked Jacques up and we went to the show as a couple...Keith and Kerry showed up just after we walked up to the Hi-Tone...we got there about 9...sat there for an hour and half before the show started...the first band was The Duration...they were pretty bad...they would have been better without the Cult-esque vocals...and THEN...the only good quality about seeing Mad Happy is that i will never ever in my life ever ever have ANY doubt as to just who is THE ABSOLUTE WORST FUCKING THING I HAVE EVER FUCKING HEARD AND CAN EVER HEAR AND CAN EVER SUCK SO FUCKING HORRIBLY UNTIL THE EXTINCTION OF HUMANITY AND MOST LIKELY FAR BEYOND THAT!!! i think that says it well enough...

to backtrack even further, i went to class today...we got our take-home final exam...looks like it's gonna be pretty damn hard...aieee! my Cabaret Voltaire: 2x45 cd arrived in the mail...i haven't taken cold medicine in two days...i seem to be getting better...though tonight i've started a bit of a coughing spell...blah...we'll see how this turns out...also, i didn't mention that at the show on saturday, i saw Carrot Top's ass crack a bunch of times...my penis has not been soft since...he also drag raced once...and the chair i sit on for computer usage has broken...now i'm using a drum stool...it's not very good for this...

bleh...Megan did not call today...i'm guessing my suspicions about her deciding i'm boring and not worth the trouble are correct...but i'm also having the thought that maybe she thinks i'm not interested...my paranoid and frightened and unsure side might manifest itself in some sort of cold and unapproachable exterior...but i don't know...i haven't called her in a while, but she's called me...and usually says she'll call me or whatever...she did last time...but maybe she thinks i'm not interested...FUCK! but i also counteract that paranoia with the paranoia that it's wrong and if i call her i'll come across like an idiot who isn't getting her message that she doesn't like me and seem creepy or whatever...dear god i suck...

Just wait to call her when you have something specific to call her about, like a date.
mayhaps we can finally manage a venture to Graceland Too tonight, after the club-trotting.

that's a brilliant idea, sir! and really, part of the reason i post this crap is because i am searching for advice because i'm so fucking clueless as to what i should do myself! so don't stop the meddlin'!

i have to totally agree with that advice. if you're not sure if she's totally into you yet, that's your safest bet. that way you have a definite reason for the call which should minimize awkwardness a bit.

what's the 7" record from the watt show?

well, if she does think i'm "boring" then it's completely my fault 'cuz when i'm around her i have trouble saying stuff and doing stuff and i actually do turn really boring...nervousness sucks...

but that can also be a good thing- being so nervous- cuz it might mean you like her a whole lot- and if you do like her a lot and she notices your nervousness around her, etc. then that can be very cute and endearing and stuff so you shouldn't really worry.

but if you have trouble talking to her for other reasons- like you guys just don't have anything in common/worthwhile to talk about- then that can be a drag, i guess.

but i don't know anything, really.

that it was a medley...and because the only resemblance to "Sister Ray" was him saying "sister ray says been suckin' on my ding dong" over and over...i think it qualifies more as "Sister Ray Says" than "Sister Ray"...

and the scoring with my face part gives it, like, totally a bunch of points and stuff...
