went to Turtle's tonight to pick up the two disc reissue of Sonic Youth: Dirty...last time i bought something there the night before it was "released" (uh, Murray Street i believe...) it was on a discount...they don't discount new releases anymore 'czu it was really fucking expensive...assholes...but Lastchance said they'd prob'ly get it in wednesday...unfortunately i can't wait that long...but in any case i have it now and that makes me happy...the only previously released b-side i don't already have is "Stalker," but there's almost an entire disc's worth of unreleased recordings...well, listening to this now and having it and all makes me extremely happy...so i guess all is well...oh, i'll also throw in the fact that it's the third time for me to get this album (and there will still be three versions sitting on my shelf...) first was uh, the first time i got it...second i found the first pressing used, with the special "dirty" picture under the disc that the label discontinued pressing...and, of course, now that it's reissued on two discs i had to get it again...they'd better hurry up w/ Goo and Daydream Nation...and the 3 dvds they're planning on reissuing...though i'm not too hopeful as i originally thought they'd start coming out well over a year ago...around the time of Murray Street...well, at least this one's finally out...

I really hope there's a lot of previously unreleased stuff on the Goo reissue! I'm sure there's a lot of great stuff from that era!

discount? you mean on sale? I think that "Deluxe Edition" series never gets sale priced. In fact, a lot of double-disc releases don't get sale priced unless they're huge commercial releases. I guess corporate feels they won't make money off it.
