called work pretty early and found out Jon was able to work tonight so i didn't have to...i went to sleep some more and set my alarm to watch The Simpsons but i was half asleep and set it wrong and woke up just after it had ended...BOLLOCKS! i'm rarely off on weekdays to watch it...i called Justin H. tonight...hadn't talked to him in a while...then i realized a show was happening tonight...

90 Day Men were playing the Deli...i had seen them before, in 2000 opening for Suicide in Chicago...i thought they were pretty crappy then...but the show tonight was free so i figured it was the right price...i swung byJustin W. 's and made him go w/ me...so it was a rock crüe in full force...Brad, Keith, Kerry, and Sucky Chris were already there when we arrived...the opening band was called A Whisper in the Noise and they were really good...i bought their cd (Through the Ides of March)...then 90 Day Men played and they were also quite good...they've changed quite a bit over the years...less bland rock and more spacey...to describe it as concise as possible...i ended up getting their newest cd (To Everybody:)...Chris, pretty drunk, while going off on hating me 'cuz he wants to join The Family Ghost was also wanting to do some other side-project together..."most good music is made by ppl who hate each other" or something like that, he said...if he's still into that and i'm bored enough, maybe that would prove interesting...but i'd definately make no promises to that actually happening...after the show we all split...Justin and i went off to the Mancake Shop...then back to his place...we played w/ Auto Tune some...i'm on my way to being the next R. Kelly...now i'm back home...i re-wrote my résumé...maybe i'll send it out to a few place to"night"...blah...

oh great...looks like stupid lj's being a fag again and not wanting to post...i hate stuff!!! (it's 5:52am now, let's see how long this homo bullshit takes...OIOIOIOIOI!!!)

update: well, that worked JUST FINE on the web...don't know why the client's being a dick...i hate computers...

I think we all hate each other just fine.
Bringing in someone we'd end up having to replace after we killed him is prob'ly not the best way to go...

I didn't read you wrong, you didn't say either way.
The fact you'd even mention it was ample reason to reply.
After all, there are thousands of Joe Cool wannabe's looking to join da Fambly Goose but you don't see me posting about them...

Chris, pretty drunk, while going off on hating me 'cuz he wants to join The Family Ghost was also wanting to do some other side-project together i mentioned it 'cuz it was funny that he was talking about it...any thoughts of any vague consideration had to do w/ the "some other side-project"...and i stress "vague"...as for the thousands of Joe Cool wannabees, the only one i'd ever consider is the real deal Dennis Philippi himself! (i don't give a fuck how badly his name's misspelt...it wouldn't be cool cool to spell his name right...)

There you go again. I'd swear you like to talk almost as much as I do...
I never said anybody *considered* anything, just how wrong it was to think about.
As for Dennis Philleeepay, he was a mere prop for the true talent, the cool Cool Bird!

Riiight. You posted it but didn't think about it. YOU'RE STUPID! We could easily get Señor Cool Cool if you and your fakeitty fake FALSE METAL fakeness weren't stupiding up the band...

See? This is why I hate you.

You know, the 90 Day Men used to be alot more harsh, dischordant, and jazzy a few years ago, and I decided their live shows sucked about, um, since the new record came out. I thought thay had become too self indulgent and that the shows became marijuana induced jams.
But I ended up seeing them on Monday in St. Louis, and it was great. They played a short set, but it was the songs I wanted to hear again. They never play anything the same way twice, which deserves some respect. Why did you think they sucked?

well, it was a while ago...but i didn't find it to be harsh, disonnant, or jazzy at all...just bland alt-rock-ish...i liked what the keyboardist was playing...and they weren't as bad as the other opening band (Atombombpocketknife)...

that newer cd (To Everybody:) isn't as good as their live show...(the one i saw this week) the prog comes out a lot more there...and i guess it was before the guitar player got that echoplex...that machine helps their sound out a lot...

I didn't read the whole journal entry, haha sorry. Um, when I said a few years ago, I meant 6 or 7 years ago. When I first saw them, it was with Bratmobile, Get up Kids, and Piebald. Needless to say, everyone else sucked, and perhaps that is why I was blown away with their earlier sound. But, I think the best album by them is "1975-1977-1998" and then the peel session, which wasn't released because they couldn't afford/get the permission.

If you want (and live in the continental US), we can make a CDR/tape trade. I didn't even realize that they put out a newer album since "It[is] it critical band".

All the songs they played at the last show were from the first EP. But I don't know what they played at the show where ever you saw them. I think maybe they played them here because they are originally from St. Louis.
