i wasn't able to get to sleep at all that night before we left...after a few hours i was able to sleep a little in the car...but not too much...it was cool when, durring the couple of stops we made, i was too tired to get out of the car normally so i just crawled/fell out onto the asphault...durring one of my cd turns i played John Coltrane's Sun Ship and Jack and Becky absolutely hated it...which is a shame as it's fucking amazing...and the title track is THE single greatest moment in jazz, ever...we arrived in Atlanta, checked into the hotel then went off to do stuff...first i was able to make everyone else go to Wax 'n' Facts...i got:
Can: Soon over Babaluma
Whitehouse: Twice Is not Enough
Cabaret Voltaire: Mix-Up
cute brittish girl that talked some w/ the old guy to us about krautrock and stuff from the last time i went wasn't there this time...ah well...but by wacky coincidence i did happen to see Cleve (Sheree's friend from Montgomery...) at the record store...then we went over half a block to that restaraunt w/ the big skull for the door (Vortex)...then off to the show...now i continue that in a separate post...i was thinking there'd be more to this post, but i guess not...

Now I must correct you on the Coltrane...I only hated the first song, and it was probably because I was about to fall asleep and was trapped in a car in the middle of Alabama...I was fine with the rest of it (even asleep, I was somehow listening to it...)

Road trips will do that to you. Hope we didn't play any boner-killers on the trip. Sorry if we did.
