the walls are closing in
Apr. 30th, 2002 06:31 pmmy Boss RC-20 Loop Station pedal arrived at my doorstep yesterday...it's pretty sweet...very intuitive to use and you can make loops happen w/ yr feet whilst standing up...ummm...this Justin called and we went to go eat...we drove out to Super China Buffet on American Way...i made a swing by the Turtle's in that area to check out the used selection...they didn't really have anything worth me getting though...after going back to his apartment it was decided to make a trip to the Black Lodge...i ended up renting this Sisters of Mercy bootleg thing...it had some tv apparences and some live stuff and a live show from '84...i dropped Justin off and went to Jacques'...this Justin was there, who i hadn't seen in a while...we watched the video...the quality was pretty terrible, but it was amusing...actually the bad quality made their later material sound better...Floodland sounds much better when played in a washing machine...Justin wanted to see the practice space 'cuz he hadn't so we went there...getting stale doughnuts on the way...we messed around some mangling some Helium songs...it was fun...back to Jacques' where some Grand Theft Auto 3 was played...fun stuff...i woke up some point today noticing the power flashing back on (as my computer was booting) i noticed it was storming REALLY badly outside...so my alarm never went off and i slept through The Simpsons...bollocks...my schedule's gonna be all fucked now...i don't know how i'll be able to get up at 8am for my presentation thursday...(assuming i EVER get it done) maybe i'll just end up staying awake all night that night...it's not like i'd be staying awake much longer than i have been lately...) one thing i forgot to mention about my new pedal: it has like 10 slots to save loops you've made on it...well the person who had it before me used like half of those...and saved are these REALLY REALLY REALLY cock songs...it's fucking hilarious...guitar wankery a'plenty...
