back to stompin' ballz...

Justin and Brad and i went to eat at R.P. Tracks tonight...and sat around there a little while..a friend of his (Lori, i think her name is) met us there as well as his friend Adam...(the he in question being Justin) after a while of sitting there we (minus Adam) went to the P&H...some pool was played...then it was time to leave for the scheduled Family Ghost practice at 1:30am...Paul was there like 2 seconds before me and Jacques showed up not too long afterwards...i replaced the battery that had run down in my Big Muff (also the wire came loose again so i had to re-solder it...but w/ Paul's assistance it wasn't too bad...) i was playing w/ micro-synth through the fuzz and i came up w/ something reminiscent of "Limerick" by Bardo Pond...i was showing Brad and he started drumming along and Paul came up w/ some bass and we were rocking and it ruled...Jacques showed up during this and immediately picked up the guitar and came up w/ something as well w/out us stopping...it fucking RULES! luckily i brought a cassette recorder so i'm listening to a recording of it now...we also worked on that new waltz-time thing we first worked on wednesday night and put it to tape...it sounds really good...then we proceeded to go through "Taken" again...this time w/ Brad and the mic set up decently so i didn't have to lean over to sing...i actually played the drum part properly while singing...and not even a dummied down version of the drum part while singing...i was thoroughly impressed...also, while listening back to the last stuff we recorded Mark Subteen stumbled up to the mystery car parked right near our space...The Subteens aparently practice 8 spaces down from us...wackiness...all in all it was a beyond productive practice...i guess i'll soon be making a tape of our old stuff for Paul to listen to so he can figure out what to play on the rest of it...i'm so fucking excited about the band again...i predict that it won't be long before we're ready to play out again...so all you dudes and dudettes: WATCH OUT FOR FALLING RAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWWWK!!!!!!!!!!!!! ummm...yea...and, Paul, you fucking rule! your rock is mixing w/ ours beautifully...i am so happy about this...
