Last night I went out to this artshow at the old 430 Crosstown Arts space. I went to see Natalie Hoffmann do a live sort of "soundtrack" set. Her music was real good. Very much in line with the Optic Sink stuff but instrumental. (I mean, maybe some of it was Optic Sink material just done instrumentally, but I speculate.) Otherwise there was a bit of standing around awkwardly. There were a few people I knew that I talked to in bits. Ross was there when I got there and I talked to him briefly, but I don't know him well enough to just hang out and talk-talk for very long. It's a small space so there wasn't a whole lot of the art to look at, oh and the art was all printed on clothing. There were also models standing around like mannequins wearing some of it. It's always kinda awkward when people just stand around like that. But anyway, the point is it didn't take long to look at everything so then I'm just standing around before the music starts. Most people are in groups talking, even when the music was going. Since the music was more of an incidental element than the main focus, people weren't really watching the show. So being there for the music I'm standing around a little untethered. I mean, this isn't too bad. I'm now used to being out of place and awkward at things. But I'm just saying. Amy and Meghan showed up later and I did talk to them for a little bit. Anyway, that was about it and then it's back home where I watched old Brooklyn 99 episodes with Mary Beth.
