Cats and Dogs
Nov. 17th, 2018 11:42 amFor the day-off activity, Mary Beth and I went to Chucalissa. I hadn't been since I was a younger kid and my memory of it's been very faint (where anything exists at all). We had a nice time. Walked a bit in the woods. Enjoyed the bluff (all this area down below where the river used to be but it isn't river anymore). The only negative thing is there's some factory or plant or something nearby that's...I don't know what it's doing, rendering of some sort? Anyway, it smells quite bad. So the closer you get towards that factory the more it stinks. Yeah, so that's the thing there. After that we went out to Jack and Neely's for a little holidayish potluck thing. There were a bunch of people there, some I know some I don't. Lots of good food. So one of their cats is a black cat that looks a bit like Trudy and her name is Ramona. Well I pet Ramona a little and then shortly later she rewarded me by sitting on my lap. And I'm like, aw how sweet. Yeah, then she goes to sleep for like two hours on me. So I was rendered immobile for a good bit. She finally got up and I could move about again, then later she got on me again (though not for as long). Vanessa was next to me cuddling with Toby (the dog) at this point and he's all indecently splayed out and recklessly tossing his legs about. I protected Ramona from these dog feet as best I could, but finally he just kicked her and she left again. Thrilling pet stories. Now it's a new day, hurrah.
