Had a couch-based adventure last night. Molly and Josh were giving us their old couch so I went over to help Josh load it into the van. Was there a few minutes hanging out waiting for Molly to come home. Talked to the girls a bit. Maria likes school, Lila does not! She mostly hates gym, can't blame her there! So we get it in the van and drive over to my place and try the front door first. The front door is the narrower of our doors. It definitely will not fit through the door at all. It's kind of a big, oddly shaped couch. We bring it around to the back door and it's just too wide. Like an inch or so (well, if we took the doors off the hinges). We wouldn't've had a problem if we could've taken the legs off but they're part of the frame or something and will not come off at all. We could have hooked it through if it only had two pairs of legs on the end, but there are two more pairs of legs in the middle. So we could hook it through but then it was dead stuck on the next middle pair of legs. The laws of physics were against us. We could not fit the damn couch into our apartment! So we just loaded it back in the van and took it back to their house. Ah well. Work today was alright. We demoed the application we've been working on. Mostly Feng and Shruthi have been working on it. I stepped in to help with part of it the past couple days to help get it more ready for the demo. The business people in the meeting were very into it and seemed quite pleased with the work. So that was nice. I guess that's the power of finally working on some front-end ui stuff. People immediately like and are impressed with things they can see. Had a semi-going away lunch for Denise. She's still kinda on our team, but she's going to ahs when the split happens (pretty soon now...) and we really haven't had any work for her in a while so she's been off doing ahs work. We went right across the street to Margaritas. As the name sounds, it's your standard cheesy texmex kinda place. Though I got nachos and nachos are typically worthwhile eating. In the less happy work-news, I did something that completely fucked up my nuget packages for my c# stuff. I cleared the cache and now nothing fucking works. I don't know what's going on but I can't even run my load script, which has been going fine for weeks. Anyway, blarb.
