Lampin'

I went out to a show at the Lamplighter last night. I got there after the first act had started. It was Owl's Head Mtn and his stuff was really good. Lush pads and heavy bass synth (I guess Novation isn't lying). It was kinda leaning towards ambient, but not quite. Also leaning a little synthwave but the rhythms were more modern. Maybe somewhere along the lines of Boards of Canada, whatever their genre gets called. Maybe I could describe it better if I caught the whole set. But it was really good. MPX was next. He had a live drummer playing along with him and the dude was pretty badass. That was good, as the time I saw him a few weeks ago. Disco Volante was good though he played a very long time and I was getting tired. After I was there awhile I saw Nate and talked to him a bit. The smoke wasn't the worst, but it's still lame being in a place where smoking happens nowadays. Anyway, that was my night. A show!
