Yesterday was Mary Beth and my christmas together (as today we're going over to my parents'). So we snuggled up and ate pecan rolls. We exchanged some presents. She got me a nice huge soft slanket, some fancy sweatpants, a snack subscription, a schnauzer sweater ornament, and a book that looks most wonderful: Experimental Music Since 1970 by Jennie Gottschalk. So I'm excited about that. We face timed with her parents and opened their packages and we got some amazon gift cards and a card game called Drain the Swamp (lampooning the current administration, of course). We spent a good bit of the afternoon/evening finishing up with Halt and Catch Fire and the rest was pretty emotional for me (or maybe I'm just a sap). At night it was back over to feed and pet Jo Jo. I played some more Fez and that was awesome. Now it's the day that actually gets called christmas. It's been a nice long long weekend so far. And still a little bit more to go.
