The Day

The big day was yesterday. Family came over in the afternoon, my parents, sister, and nephews. We had a table of hors d'oeuvres out before dinner. Had the tv on netflix and Jason picked Kung Fu Panda 3 so they were pretty occupied. Dinner went well and it was good. TFM came through, plus Mary Beth had made a few dishes of her own. I'm sure I annoyed all the other adults by getting the kids to play with my drums and later some synths. All that stuff had actually been packed up since the last show, but my mom had texted to the effect that Jason said, when he heard they were coming over here, he'd get to have his first drum lesson. So before the came over, after the cleaning was done, I put my drums together and put the Moog and Prophet back on their stand. I made sure they hit the drums lightly and they were pretty into it. They were also into making sounds on the synths, Anthony especially. Well, he loved all the noisemaking. I even learned the "Imperial March" for Jason. That was fun (for the kids...and me...). Overall I thought the day went pretty successfully. We even were proactive and got stuff cleaned. Okay, now I wrestle with buying a couple utility modules for a "black whatever day" online sale... Hm.
