Stay

Yesterday ended up being kind of weird. I tried to pick my mom up to take her to Helena, but she said she had too bad a headache and wouldn't go (she was feeling like shit and depressed because of my sister's shitty weird online explosion). So with Mary Beth being out of commission due to her toe, I stayed home. Instead I started work on building the Mikrophonie eurorack kit I got from Dustin for my birthday (finally putting to use the soldering iron Josh loaned me a couple weeks ago). So I'm doing alright soldering work but I realize when I get to one of the last pairs of components, I had soldered them in the wrong place. So then I need a soldering wick to remove them. So I get that from Radio Shack, but then I get home and the solder isn't sticking to the iron anymore, and it looks like I'd messed it up and stripped away an external layer. Today I ended up going back to Radio Shack to get a new tip and I picked up a couple but the guy said they only work with a certain type of iron and they might not work at all for me. I'll see. Otherwise I have to take 'em back. Yeugh. Oh yeah, it turned out the day I took of work was the day of the annual "tailgate" event with free Gus's chicken! So sad! But Mary Beth and I picked up some Gus's anyway so all was not lost! Today I went grocery shopping all by my lonesome. And now? I don't know. We'll see.
