I'd gotten a bit excited Wednesday evening as I got a text from Emma asking if I wanted to play music at this Creative Arts Conference thingie Saturday night and it'd even be a paying gig. I was a bit nervous as I didn't have anything ready but it was an exciting prospect. But a bit after I agreed I got a follow up that someone else involved had already been talking to someone else so it's not happening. Sad face. Well, Wednesday night Mary Beth and I went up to Mollie Fontaine's for Molly's birthday party. It was a good time, a bunch of people were there and I got to talk to people and shit. Josh and David are both also kinda interested in going to this Day of Night festival in Houston that I'm kinda interested in going to. We'll see. Yesterday, my team had our final farewell lunch together with some Indian buffet. Toby happened to show up separately for his lunch and then ended up paying for all our lunches. That was nice! Oh, and you may be wondering why I'm posting at such a time on a weekday, well I took today off. There's this family gathering down in Helena a little later that I'll be going to. But there recently erupted all this facebook messenger drama with MY immediate family (read: sister) so there's awkwardness with that now. Also, Mary Beth smashed up her big toe last night and ripped the toenail. Now let's see what I can do with a few hours of being off before I go.
