Triumphant Return

Zombi was really good last night. They even played my favorite song ("Cetus" and a good bit from Cosmos too). Minglewood wasn't the best setting I've seen 'em in, but their set was fuckin' on. They made reference to playing Murphy's 10 or 11 years ago (and Murphy's is practically next door to Minglewood). I don't know if I mentioned talking to 'em a couple weeks ago when they did a facebook post about the tour about to start and gave a few words about some of the cities they're going to. And mentioned Murphy's being the last time they played Memphis to a crowd of about three people (there were more than three people, but it wasn't a huge crowd or anything). I replied remembering the show and that their equipment blew out the power at Murphy's and they had to end their set midway through. THAT was a really great show until it ended prematurely. Anyway, yeah. They played to many more people last night. Of course they were opening for Ghost. We left before Ghost played (because Ghost is pretty terrible).

Took the cats to the vet this morning. They were due for their annuals anyway and they've been itching lately. We thought it was fleas but the treatments for fleas we've been doing haven't been quite working. The vet said the flea collars weren't on tight enough to work right. We thought it might be something else, but he was pretty sure it was fleas. So tightening the collars and hoping that helps. Trudy's legs aren't scratched up as bad as they were a week ago though. Anyway, back home much to their relief.
