Deferment

Did some more talking today and it turns out my tech lead stuff won't be happening quite right away. The Communications team that I'm going to be on isn't quite ready yet. They have one objective this coming up pi and it doesn't have anything to do with development work. And there are still some unknowns about the structure and all. Goes back to that confusion I started to feel when I talked to people on Tuesday. So in the interim, for the next pi, it looks like I'm going to be on the Integration team and then will take over the Communications team next pi (the beginning of next year). So hopefully nothing changes between then, I mean, it'll definitely be fun taking on that responsibility, I guess a little prep time is nice, I just hope nothing happens between then to let it slip through my fingers. Don't see why it would. And it makes sense. So I'll take cues from the positive sign. Also, having had my hands in one more team will give me just that much more background and experience with new pieces of information and technology and etc. Anyway, also at work today I finished reading Our Lady of the Flowers by Jean Genet and it was fucking great. I really loved it. It was probably one of the best books I've read in a good while.
