Introducing

Taking out the garbage last night, I ran into one of the new neighbors doing some preliminary moving-in. His name was...not Caleb, but something that sounds a lot like it, I think. I hate how bad with names I am. I'll fix on and repeat a name I just learned, really focus on it immediately and I'll have it in my head, then five minutes later...whish, nothing. He seemed nice (though most people do when you first meet them for like ten seconds, I guess), young dude. I know he's got three roommates. He has a Bernie sticker on his car, so that's a positive-leaning sign, I say. A word on my current music selection, I saw these guys open for Mogwai in Louisville way back in the day and they were pretty good and I got this cd and all (though in the realm of obscure band you saw once, I don't think about it very often years and years later). I was surprised to see their name on the upcoming shows calendar of the venue we're going to be seeing Pere Ubu at in Louisville. So they're still kicking around, that's cool. And yeah, revisiting this album, it's still good, very much along the lines of Tortoise post-rock. I even listened to a sample of a new album that's coming out. It's good and both similar and different to this stuff. Maybe I'll check it out if I can while I'm in Louisville.
