Our kanban board got stuff up on it yesterday (technically we've had the stuff up in jira, but now there's physical stickies on the wall). Exciting stuff. Now it's like a real thing. Also, I started trying to do something new. Writing a script in soapui for tests. Hasn't been going well so far. Well, I can get a super basic script (just logging shit) to work on its own, but during the load test it doesn't log. Anyway, it's working in a "new" language for me: groovy (okay, technically it's a script version of java, but there are some different extras that are kinda nice). Last night Mary Beth and I went out to the Orpheum to see this Star Trek music orchestra thingie. They had a video going along with it splicing clips from all the shows. So with that sound on top of everything and watching the screen, for a lot of it you actually forgot you were listening to an orchestra performing, or at least focus was shifted to the abstract. Maybe it's partly the music, designed to be canned background music. It was a fun evening. Later at night Mary Beth and I shared a nice "surprise." I guess that's about it for now.
