Game Night

On Monday night Mary Beth and I finished Mad Men. So we have caught up to the end! Yesterday after work we went over to a coworker's for a game night. Quite a few others were there. A total of eight. We started with Tsuro and as I'd expected, the more people the more fun it gets. So unlike with other iterations, with eight players it gets pretty chaotic pretty quickly. We played a couple games of that. Then we played a game called Killer Bunnies. It's a card game and it was pretty fun (though like any game I play for the first time, it wasn't til the end that I started to somewhat get it, naturally I did terribly, though even more terribly than the others who were playing it for the first time). Then two of us brought different versions of Munchkin so we had two simultaneous games of Munchkin, mine was of the Axe Cop variety. All in all it was a bunch of fun. Bands for Bernie has been getting off. The event's up on the Hi-Tone's site. Poster's made. Facebook page is up. The word is out. We even have one food truck in on the action, so far. So should be pretty exciting. We were going to record the next episode of the podcast tonight, but Sara's sick. So instead Mary Beth and I went up to the Brooks to see Gates of Heaven which was good. Found out Else Marie Pade died a couple days ago. She was one of the best electronic composers and she'll be missed.
