Another new boardgame last night: Labyrinth. This one fucking rules! Some similarities to Tsuro and other tile/path-based games, but with its own unique niceties. Shit's always moving and it's like a maze and a puzzle and a boardgame all rolled into one. I lost but I enjoyed the hell out of it. Brought my "new" monitor to work today. Hooked it up but I don't have my other monitor hooked up 'cuz the dock only has one port for a vga cable. So I ordered a dvi cable (what the new one also can use). It's even one I can turn on its side! How foncy! I was having some ass pains because of it though. It has a different dpi than the other stuff I use. So shit's smaller on it. Makes it a little less than ideal for code, hm. And Windows 7 apparently can't have different dpi settings for different screens. If I change the dpi, it's perfect on the new screen, but everything's way too big on my laptop screen. If I just give the new screen a different resolution, it's the right size but blurry. Why can't everything just be *perfect*? Duh? And the biggest news of all...? On the way home from work, I get on 240 and think something must be wrong. There's no bumper to bumper wall of cars for the mile or two I'm on it. What's wrong? Did I accidentally leave work at 3? Is it some weird holiday? Then I get towards the end and there's a little bit of congestion but it's not backed up or anything and I see the exit to 40. Two lanes again! It finally got opened up and the thing that's been making my commute home a horrible mess is gone and shit's just fucking normal again! I sure hope it stays that way.
