Mary Beth and I finished the first season of True Detective. I enjoyed it quite a bit. What else? Workin' and gettin' stuff done at work. Free lunch at Huey's today (though I made the mistake of going out of the way with a Philly cheesesteak, not BAD, but now I definitely know it's not what to get at Huey's). Weird walk today. Walking down Washington, I saw a little dog loose on the sidewalk. I checked her tag (Lizzie is her name) and called the phone number but got a voicemail-cannot-be-whatever message. A neighbor was walking across the street to his car so I asked if he knew whose dog it was. He wasn't sure, but then he seemed to think it was the lady's who lives in the blue house on the corner (the one it was first in front of). I went with Lizzie to the door and rang and all but no one seemed at home. There was a yard with several dogs in it. There was also a separate fenced-in garden ... Hah. That was Lizzie's owner on the phone and she's got her (she was wandering around when she pulled up). Anyway. As I was saying, I left her in the garden but if it was the wrong house I didn't wanna trap her in there so I left the door ajar. So looks like she got back out, but didn't get too far (about what I was hoping for anyway). Alright. And it's National Dog Day to boot!
