My job interview was yesterday. I was scheduled to meet with four people for 30 minutes each, so like 2 hours of interviewing. I think it went alright. I'm sure I provided some awkward moments here and there, but I don't think it went terribly. Interesting thing, Jacques's boss at a point said there was a different job that was about to open up that she thought I'd be better for (I was applying for a customer service job and this is a data analyst position). I'm actually pretty excited about that one. Seems like it'd be cool, but I don't know. Any job right now would just be super. She took me to talk to the lady who is currently doing that work. It's apparently not her job she's just doing it now 'cuz she's the only one who knows something about statistics or whatever. So that was an extra person I got to talk to, but she showed me the software she's using and some of what she's doing. Jacques's boss is really nice though at one point she offered me some interviewing advice, so I hope that's not too bad a sign. Other things. Over the past couple nights I've watched some movies. Tuesday night it was Bed and Board and Wednesday night it was Love on the Run. I guess I got into a little Antoine Doinel kick and finished out the cycle. The fourth installment was okay, but the fifth/last one was kinda weird. It felt like a clips shows as there were tons of flashbacks from the previous movies all throughout. Easily the least good of them all. None are nearly as good as The 400 Blows anyway. The middle ones are pretty good in a light sort of way. Last night I got Mary Beth to watch City Lights with me (it wasn't hard as she loves it and I've never seen it). I enjoyed it quite a bit. Modern Times is still my favorite Chaplin, but it pretty close up there. Yesterday evening we also tried Schweinhaus, the new German restaurant just down the street on the square. It was pretty good. Some of the stuff (like the sausage and the mustard and the mac and cheese, though I think it was something else that just resembles mac and cheese) were really good. A few things (like the brussels sprouts which were really hard) left a little to be desired. Overall there was more that was good. A few of these past days (though not at all yesterday) I was working on my Discogs and I've now completed two columns in my main tower (bringing me up to Roland Kirk). Okay.
